Dish Network

Recently we received a letter from the local cable company telling us what a great client we were and they were rewarding us with an automatic 2 year renewal and a 20 dollar monthly increase. So they were fired and we switched to Dish Network. We have way more channels, DVR's in both rooms, and awesome customer service at a lower price!

If you want to switch, call them up and use the code 2558 so Chuck (our ex military  Iraq war vet) Installer gets the credit and he will come take great care of you.

If you are worried about loosing your cable internet connection, will post next about CenturyLink and their awesome deal and faster connection!

Cat: My husband & I will be relocating to the Hubert N.C area in Aug. How can we get a list of RV/Mobile home parks? We will be bringing a 32 Foot 5th wheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (06/17/11)

Kim: hey! around 1995 a friend and I took a roadtrip from GA up the east coast, we took old US 17 and drove by the whirly burger, with a big burger on top of the building with rings around it. Does this place still exist? and can I have the address to find it again and take a picture? Thanks, Kim (03/27/11)

john donnelly: Hi Trying to locate an old friend who lived in old mill village around 1988. Her name then was Renda Major. Can anyone please help ?? (07/29/11)

rhonda: My marine son and his family will be relocating to the Jacksonville base. Where can we find home rental listings for the Hubert area? Thanks for any advise you may have in advance. (08/25/11)

john donnelly: Hi Trying to locate an old friend who lived in old mill village around 1988. Her name then was Renda Major. Can anyone please help ?? (07/29/11)

k felleng: is hubert GAY FRIENDLY ? I heard yes is this true I have a family member who is gay anad we are relocating to NC (01/18/13)

Elle Gwyn: Intern from NCSU needs a small place to rent in or around Hubert for 6 weeks from aprox., late May thru July. A no hassel renter. Please contact me if you know of a safe haven at a reasonable price. (04/11/13)

Sher Hilliard: To answer some above questions: The old Whirlyburger is long gone, torn down ages ago for the new roads. Hubert is a small 'bedroom' community with gas stations and pizza places - no grocery store or shopping. For that we drive to Jacksonville or Swansboro. I would say Hubert is 'gay friendly'. Swansboro is close to Hubert, right on the water, great restaurants. There are a few realtors in Swansboro, NC who have listings for Hubert. Hope that helps everyone! (08/15/13)

Adam: Who runs/administers this site? (09/11/14)

Sandy: Back in 1973 I moved to Hubert being newly married. My husband was in the USMC and we lived quite close to Camp Lejeune. I don't remember the name of road we rented an apartment on but it was on a main strip and we lived upstairs in someones home. I have always wondered whatever happened to them and if they still live in the area. We hope to travel back there someday after we retire. Their names were Clessie and Betty Jones and they had a daughter Wanda. If anyone knows them, can you please write back? Thanks. (02/19/15)

P. Kizer: Sandy - I rented from Clessie and Betty Jones in the 1979-1983 time frame. They owned a large brick one- story home on Route 24 with a mobile home in the back, which is where my husband and I lived. Clessie passed away in Dec 1981 from a heart attack. Betty eventually re-married a man with the last name Wetherington, and she passed away in Mar 2006. She and Clessie are buried at Piney Grove Baptist Cemetary in Onslow County, NC. They had 3 daughters but I can't remember all their names. Louise, I believe, was the oldest, and I'm thinking she had two children - their middle daughter had one child - then Wanda, who came later in life for Clessie and Betty. Wanda was married but only for a short time. She and I used to sun tan in the back yard and Betty would make us the most delicious Kool Aid to drink. I miss this family and wish I still had contact with them. (08/12/15)
